When the autumn season comes, everything reminds us that we still love you (deep respect to whoever we borrowed these words from). October, a lovely month that we're particularly fond of around here: maybe because it's the birthday month of 80% of our team! If October is a month of spending sprees for you too, well, we're not going to help you with this newsletter full of gift ideas.
HOW?
We haven't told you about Lucy & her donkeys yet?
For over a year now, we've been proud to welcome donkey milk soaps made in Tourrettes-Sur-Loup.
Firstly, because donkey's milk has many virtues (which Cleopatra was well aware of, as she used it for her daily baths). This milk is the closest to mother's milk, and therefore naturally rich in nutrients and vitamins. It is particularly suitable for very sensitive skin, or skin prone to conditions such as eczema or psoriasis.
Secondly, because at Lucy Ifrah's farm, animal welfare remains THE priority: the foals stay with their mother and are only separated from her for milking, which is carried out at the donkey's own pace. And the rest of the time, the donkeys live in perfect harmony with thoroughbred horses, and help to fight fires by clearing undergrowth, which is particularly necessary in our Provencal massifs.
VALET DE PIQUE
The ace of spades that stung our hearts
If you've been following our adventures lately, you'll know that like every year, we went to Paris to meet our designers and unearth new finds.
Well, it was in the heart of the 10th arrondissement that we fell in love.
There we met Amélie (yet another one!), who introduced us to her pretty range of handbags, feminine to the core, without overdoing it. No fuss, no muss, these bags are the simple reflection of a meeting between a young enthusiast (Martin) and a Parisian family business with ancestral know-how. In short, everything we love...
Shall we show you?
Like Cap Ferret...
To kick off the cocooning season, what could be better than a "good" sofa? Yes, we're talking about that sofa you can literally wallow on after a hard day's work.
The one that welcomes you with open arms, soft comfort and a gentle bounce that instantly soothes your lower back.
If you don't know what we're talking about, then it's time to come and sit in ours!
The perfect novelty for parents-to-be!
After the changing bag, here's the latest from Vic&Pic: the changing bag!
The ideal companion for your outings with baby: we love its quilted jersey fabric, combined with the softness of the brand's prints. All Oeko-Tex-labeled, made locally in small series.
What more could you ask for?
I'm going to have a look!This autumn's color: vegetal
Whether for the men's or women's line, THE color not to be missed this fall at Saint James is vegetal green. Directly inspired by their marine DNA and century-old heritage, we couldn't agree more!
Superb!
New at the tearoom: the "apéro"!
Is it our Frenchman's side that's been acting up, or is it an irresistible urge to hold on to summer? We don't know about you, but it's been tickling our toes for a long time!
So we've done it, and from now on you'll find on the tea room menu our
Apéro formula :
a glass of wine + an assortment of black fig tapenade / olive crackers (by Les Niçois)
please note: our opening times remain unchanged,
if you wish to enjoy our aperitif, you'll need to come before 6pm.
Pink October
This year, for the first time since the boutique opened, we decided to carry out an action in line with our values. All our team members have been touched, in one way or another, by cancer.
So, more than ever, it was time for L'Atelier to invest in a worthwhile cause.
We've teamed up with a local initiative: On Pose pour le Rose, run by Agathe Duffaut, a talented photographer you may already know from her gentle, poetic world.
* We handed out over €200 in raffle prizes at their event
in Le Rouret on Saturday, October 7, 2023
* We'll be donating part of our October profits to the association.
