Valet de Pique is first and foremost the result of a meeting between Martin, a young graduate, and a family-run factory in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. When he discovered the century-old know-how of this company specializing in leather harnesses, nail pouches and tool cases, he fell in love with this authentic, local and sustainable manufacturing process. The "valet" is a traditional tool of leather craftsmen, who use it to pinch the leather to free the 2 hands, which can then "stitch" the leather. It's the kind of story we love at Atelier Français!
